Geomembrane Liners

Increased environmental legislation has meant that geomembranes are commonplace in many new construction projects. In the UK, proposed developments within 250m of an active or disused landfill site require detailed consultation with the Environment Agency. Modern landfill site designs provide a means to control the escape of liquids or gas, either in to neighbouring land, or up in to the atmosphere. This is achieved by lining the base of the landfill site with a suitable geomembrane, and sealing it with a capping membrane.

		Powerbase liners are reinforced polyolefin geomembranes manufactured by cast extruding a coating layer onto both sides of a woven fabric made of strong multifilament and tape yarns. The liners are designed to be tough yet pliable. This flexibility facilitates quick installations with the material following the contours of the site. Pre-fabricated panels can be supplied with a folding plan that details where the liner should be placed and unfolded.
