The bituminous backing on Powerbase Multigas Tank facilitates vertical adhesion and holds the membrane in place until the area is back-filled.

Its high level of tear and impact resistance is a product of long-term research and development combined with high quality manufacturing processes.

Powerbase Multigas Tank has CE Marking for use "Flexible sheets for waterproofing – Reinforced bitumen sheets for roof water proofing (to EN 13707) and basement & tanking membranes."

Methane, radon and CO2 are naturally occurring gases which can be harmful in high concentrations.

Radon is commonly found over granite formations whereas methane and carbon dioxide are produced as a result of the decomposition of organic matter such as made ground or natural deposits such as coal, peat or silt.

Where these are present, and vertical installation is required, Powerbase Multigas Tank provides effective protection. It is suitable for sites requiring NHBC Green, Amber 1 and Amber 2 gas protection measures.

The bituminous backing on Powerbase Multigas Tank facilitates vertical adhesion and holds the membrane in place until the area is back-filled.


Porous wall surfaces should be primed with Powerbond Adhesive Primer. Priming the surface on porous installations such as concrete in a cellar application is important to ensure proper adhesion of the membrane.

Prior to application, Powerbase Multigas Tank should be warmed with hot air or flame to soften the adhesive. The membrane should be immediately applied, using pressure over the whole surface.
